¿Why Philosophy?

Almost all people think ¿why philosophy? if I'm not interested, if i don't want study that, i want to be an engineer i don't care about philosophy. But Firstable,I think that we have to ask to ourselves... What is Philosophy? For many people this term can just mean one thing: Nothing,... or Philosophy don't help us to solve our problems, doesn't help us with economy or with many other things that we live everyday in our lives!.. why do i have to care about philosophy?
In my personal point of view i think that philosophy is a style of life, its a way to see the life, is a way to learn more about ourselves and with that start to learn and understand what is around us.
Fernando Savater in his book "Questions Of Life" Says something that it's very interesting for me.. Can Philosophy be Teach? Can we see beyond science? Can we trust on what we don't know with security? in something that we don't know that exactly means? Well this question depends on everyone. Philosophy its very subjective, it changes in everyone, because everyone have his own point of view, everyone have his way to see life, everyone have his way to learn about situations, a different way to feel, a different way to think, it's so huge and complex that all of us have a different answer, Philosophy its so huge and complex as our thoughts and our mind because we as humans that we are, we are very complex in every way, we always think, feel, see, analyzises, we are made by emotions, feelings, experiences, situations, all are different from other, we are not the same we dont think or feel the same than others, thats why philosophy can not be teach.

  2. I have a similar point of view, philosophy depends in each person, you can see it in other way than me. Everybosy can have different answers for the same simple question, for ones something can means nothing, we think in other ways and that make us different, is great what you wrote.
